- Arrive in Boulder: Settle into your accommodation in Boulder. Take time to explore the charming downtown area and enjoy some local eateries.
- Chautauqua Park: Kick off your hiking trip with an easy-to-moderate hike from Chautauqua Park. The Flatirons Trail (3.3 miles, moderate) is a classic Boulder hike, leading you to stunning views of Boulder and the surrounding mountains.
- Optional: If you're up for more, the Royal Arch Trail (3.2 miles, moderate) offers an additional challenge with incredible views.
- Overnight in Boulder.
Day 2: Rocky Mountain National Park (Longs Peak and Bear Lake)
- Drive to Rocky Mountain National Park (1 hour): Start early and drive to Rocky Mountain National Park for a day of hiking.
- Bear Lake Area: Begin your day with an easy hike around Bear Lake (0.6 miles, easy), a beautiful alpine lake surrounded by towering peaks. For a longer hike, consider the Nymph, Dream, and Emerald Lakes Trail (3.6 miles, moderate), which takes you through subalpine meadows to three stunning alpine lakes.
- Longs Peak (Optional): If you’re up for a strenuous challenge, consider a portion of Longs Peak, one of Colorado’s iconic 14ers (13.2 miles, challenging). This will be a more difficult day but offers great views if you decide to tackle it.
- Return to Boulder: After hiking, drive back to Boulder and relax in town.

Day 3: Green Mountain Summit & Boulder Canyon
- Green Mountain Summit Hike: Spend the day hiking Green Mountain for sweeping views of Boulder and the Flatirons (5.3 miles, moderate to challenging). The ascent is steep but offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area.
- Boulder Canyon: After descending, you can enjoy a more relaxed walk along the Boulder Canyon Trail, which follows the creek through a peaceful canyon and offers additional views (2-3 miles).
- Overnight in Boulder.
Day 4: Mount Sanitas and Boulder Creek Path
- Mount Sanitas: On your final day in Boulder, tackle the Mount Sanitas Trail (3.3 miles, moderate). The trail is steep in parts but offers spectacular views of the surrounding mountains, valleys, and Boulder below.
- Boulder Creek Path: After the hike, explore the Boulder Creek Path (ideal for an easy walk or bike ride). This scenic path follows the creek and winds through the town of Boulder, making it a relaxing way to wind down after the hike.
- Overnight in Boulder.
Day 5: Drive to Dillon and Sapphire Point Overlook
- Drive to Dillon: After breakfast, drive from Boulder to Dillon, which takes about 1.5 hours. This area offers stunning views of the Dillon Reservoir and surrounding mountains.
- Sapphire Point Overlook: Once you arrive in Dillon, head to Sapphire Point Overlook for a short, easy hike to one of the best panoramic views of the reservoir and the surrounding mountain range (1 mile, easy). It's a great introduction to the area.
- Relax in Dillon: Enjoy the rest of the day exploring the town, relaxing by the reservoir, or doing some light exploration.

Day 6: Mohawk Lakes and Lake Dillon
- Mohawk Lakes Trail: Begin the day with a scenic hike on the Mohawk Lakes Trail (6.5 miles, moderate), which takes you through alpine meadows and past beautiful glacial lakes. The hike offers panoramic views and the opportunity to experience Colorado's stunning high-altitude terrain.
- Lake Dillon: After the hike, spend the afternoon relaxing by Dillon Reservoir. You can rent a kayak or paddleboard to explore the lake or take a peaceful stroll around the shoreline.
- Overnight in Dillon.
Day 7: Buffalo Mountain Hike and Ute Pass Trail
- Buffalo Mountain: Start the day with a challenging hike to the summit of Buffalo Mountain (6.8 miles, challenging). This hike offers breathtaking views at the summit and takes you through forests and alpine meadows. The summit provides expansive views of the surrounding areas and is a true highlight of the Dillon region.
- Ute Pass Trail: If you still have energy, consider hiking the Ute Pass Trail (4.5 miles, moderate), which is a quieter, scenic trail offering views of the surrounding valleys and peaks.

Day 8: Keystone Lakes and Departure
