Day 1: Arrival and Annecy Town Exploration
Arrive in Annecy: Explore the picturesque old town, visit the Château d'Annecy, stroll through the canals, and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere.
Evening Lake Stroll: Take a peaceful walk along the shores of Lake Annecy at sunset.
Day 2: Mont Veyrier Hike
Drive to the trailhead near the top of Mont Veyrier (you can drive partway up or park near the trail start point).
Mont Veyrier Hike: Hike to the summit of Mont Veyrier (1,429 meters) for fantastic views over the town and the lake. The trail has a moderate to challenging ascent.
Descent & Return to Annecy: After enjoying the views, return to Annecy for the evening.
Day 3: Col de la Forclaz (Starting Point: Doussard)
Drive to Doussard: Start our journey by driving to the southern end of Lake Annecy (Doussard).
Col de la Forclaz Hike: Hike up to the Col de la Forclaz (1,152 meters). From here, you can enjoy sweeping views of Lake Annecy and the surrounding mountains. This hike is moderate in difficulty, passing through alpine meadows and forests.
Overnight in Doussard or return to Annecy: Depending on time and preference, you can either stay in Doussard or head back to Annecy.
Day 4: Semnoz Plateau (Starting Point: Annecy)
Drive to Semnoz Plateau: Start by driving to the Semnoz Plateau, which is just a short distance from Annecy (about 30-40 minutes).
Semnoz Hike: Spend the day hiking around the plateau (1,700 meters). There are various routes, and one of the most scenic takes you to a viewpoint with panoramic vistas of Mont Blanc, Lake Annecy, and the surrounding Alps. You can also opt for a more relaxed walk through alpine meadows.
After returning from the hike, enjoy the rest of our day in Annecy.
Day 5: Hike to Col des Contrebandiers (Starting Point: Annecy-le-Vieux)
Drive to Annecy-le-Vieux: Head to the nearby village of Annecy-le-Vieux, which is a 10-minute drive from Annecy.
Col des Contrebandiers Hike: This moderate to challenging hike takes you through forests and offers sweeping views of Lake Annecy and the surrounding mountains. From Col des Contrebandiers, you’ll have spectacular views of the entire region.
Return to Annecy: After our hike, return to Annecy for a relaxing evening.
Day 6: Bauges Mountains (Starting Point: Lescheraines)
Drive to Lescheraines: Start our day with a drive (about 1 hour) to the small village of Lescheraines, located in the Bauges Mountains.
Explore the Bauges Natural Park: Spend the day hiking in the Bauges Regional Natural Park. - hike to the summit of Mont de la Coche or through alpine meadows filled with wildflowers. These mountains are less crowded, offering a more serene hiking experience.
Day 7: Mont Charvin Hike (Starting Point: Col des Aravis)
Drive to Col des Aravis: On the final day, drive to the Col des Aravis (1,487 meters), a high mountain pass that connects the Aravis Range to the Beaufortain .Mont Charvin Hike: Take on the challenging but rewarding hike to the summit of Mont Charvin (2,410 meters). The views from the top are breathtaking, with panoramic vistas of the Mont Blanc massif, Lake Annecy, and the entire region. Return to Annecy: After the hike, head back to Annecy, where you can relax by the lake and enjoy our farewell dinner
Day 8: Travel Day
We say goodbye to our new friends and transfer to the airport. Please book flights for after 3pm.
