Kayak Hire
Day 1: Arrival at Morro ay
Morning: Arrive in Morro Bay and check into your accommodation.
Stroll along the waterfront and browse local shops and galleries.
Evening: Dinner
Day 2: Morro Bay & Surroundings
Morning: Hike up Morro Rock.
This 576-foot volcanic peak offers a great view of the town and coastline, though it's a steep climb, so be prepared.
Afternoon: Take a kayak tour of the bay.
Rent a kayak or stand-up paddleboard to explore the waters around Morro Bay.
We keep an eye out for sea otters, seals, and a variety of bird species.
Evening: Dinner
Day 3: Morro Bay State Park & Local Exploration
Morning: Visit Morro Bay State Park.
Hike the scenic trails with views of the bay, marshlands, and Morro Rock.
Evening: Dinner
Day 4: Day Trip to San Luis Obispo
Morning: Drive to San Luis Obispo (about 20 minutes from Morro Bay).
Visit Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa, a historic Spanish mission.
Afternoon: Explore Downtown San Luis Obispo.
Check out Bubblegum Alley, shop at local boutiques, and grab lunch at a café.
Stroll through San Luis Obispo Farmers' Market (if it’s Thursday).
Evening: Dinner
Day 5: Hearst Castle & Elephant Seals
Morning: Head to Hearst Castle (about 40 minutes north of Morro Bay).
Take a guided tour of this grand estate and learn about William Randolph Hearst's legacy.
Afternoon: Stop at Piedras Blancas Elephant Seal Rookery.
Observe these fascinating animals in their natural habitat from an elevated viewing area.
Evening: Return to Morro Bay for a relaxing evening and dinner at The Custom House overlooking the bay.
Day 6: Wine Tasting & Scenic Drives
Morning: Drive to the Edna Valley Wine Region (about 30 minutes from Morro Bay).
Spend the morning wine-tasting at some of the beautiful wineries, such as Tolosa Winery or Edna Valley Vineyard.
Afternoon: Take a scenic drive along Highway 1.
Head north to Montaña de Oro State Park to enjoy stunning coastal cliffs, beaches, and hiking trails.
If you’re up for more adventure, consider hiking the Bluff Trail for beautiful ocean views.
Evening: Return to Morro Bay for dinner at The Bay Café, a charming spot with fresh seafood and local dishes.
Day 7: Relax Day
Relax by the Bay, or join us for a day at the ocean
Midday: Visit Morro Bay National Estuary for a peaceful walk or birdwatching along the trails.
Evening: Farwell Dinner
Day 8: Relax & Departure
Morning: Start the day with a relaxing breakfast and say goodbye to our new friends
We leave just after breakfast and drive back to Hollywood Recreation Centre (approximately 3 hours 15miutes).
